What your barn gets for $497

Not a video subscription. A finished teaching system your instructors use in every lesson, and your riders and parents can follow.

A clear ladder, Level A to Level 5

Eight levels take a rider from their first walk on the lunge line to jumping 3-foot courses and equitation. Every level has 20 or 21 milestones and one end goal, so everyone knows what "ready for the next level" means.

A sign-off standard for every milestone

Each milestone comes with a written standard: what the rider has to show, and what the instructor checks before signing it off. Two instructors pass a rider on the same standard, so a "Level 2 rider" means the same thing in every lesson.

Example · Level 3 · Change of direction with a quality simple change through trot
"Students should be able to execute a balanced downward transition, then rebalance, bend and execute a correct upwards transition onto the new canter lead. At this level we are looking for balance and organization over efficiency: the rider may take up to 8 trot steps to complete the simple change."

A demonstration clip on most of them

139 of the 164 milestones already have their clip, filmed with Bernie Traurig and Liz Reader, usually one to four minutes each. More are being filmed through November. Riders watch what good looks like before they try it.

    Mounted and unmounted

About half the milestones are ridden; the other half are horsemanship on the ground: tacking up, safety, grooming, parts of the horse. Riders become horse people, not just passengers.

It runs your lessons, inside Impulsion 2.0

    • Track every rider's progress, milestone by milestone
    • Instructors sign off from an iPad in the arena
    • Certificates when a rider finishes a level
    • Parents see where their rider is and what comes next
    • Make it yours: reorder, add your own milestones, keep removed ones in a bank

    Optional add-on · +$197

The Bonus Milestones: 37 more, straight from Bernie Traurig's library

Every Bonus Milestone is cut from one of Bernie's EquestrianCoach.com videos and comes with its sign-off standard and Bernie's own teaching points, in his words. Each one comes with its own clip, cut to the part of Bernie's video that teaches that skill (usually one to two minutes), not the whole video. They arrive in your curriculum as one Bonus Milestones column, and you can drag any of them into the level where you want it.

    Leg aids

The impulse leg at the girth, when to open the toe for the spur, straightening a drifting horse, the landing lead, and testing which aid the horse is really answering.

    Rein aids

The direct, indirect, opening and pulley reins: what each one does, when to use it, and the one that is for emergencies only.

    The four seats

Half seat, light seat, full seat and driving seat, shown by the best riders in the sport, with when each one is the right tool.

Also in the bonus: position and stirrups, flatwork from Bernie's Fundamentals of Flatwork, the dull horse in front of your leg, flying changes, landing leads, releases over fences, and safe mounting. See all 37 below.

Which of Bernie's videos they come from

    Every milestone, playing

Bernie's leg aids, rein aids and seats come first, then all eight levels, then the rest of the Bonus Milestones. Clips play silently as you scroll. These are 6-second previews; your barn gets each milestone's full clip.

    Questions

    Is it a subscription?

No. It's one payment per riding school for lifetime use, $497, plus $197 if you add the Bonus Milestones.

    Do I need Impulsion 2.0?

Yes. The curriculum lives inside Impulsion 2.0, where your instructors sign riders off and riders and parents follow their progress. If your barn isn't on it yet, leave the box unticked and we'll contact you within one business day to set you up, and walk you through what Impulsion 2.0 costs before anything else is charged.

Can I add the Bonus Milestones later?

Yes. Once your barn owns the curriculum, the Bonus Milestones are in Curriculum › Marketplace inside Impulsion 2.0 for $197.

    Can I change the milestones?

Yes. Reorder them, add your own, move bonus milestones into any level, or set one aside in your milestone bank. Your copy is yours.

I bought it at the Summit in October. Do I pay for the bonus?

No. Everyone who bought during the Summit gets the Bonus Milestones free, and they are already in your account.

Can other barns use our copy?

The license covers one riding school. A second barn buys its own.

    Who made it?

Bernie Traurig, founder of EquestrianCoach.com, whose teaching library the clips and Bonus Milestones come from, and Liz Reader of Pair of Aces Stables, who built the level-by-level structure from her own lesson program.
